CaSA, Rousdon Water Tower, Devon, highly efficient new build home

Rousdon Water Tower is a new build contemporary home in East Devon on the site of a former Victorian water tower and two circular water tanks. The building is being constructed from a whole house ICF system to help it achieve excellent levels of air tightness and thermal comfort. The original water tanks are being converted into bedroom wings with an open plan living, kitchen and dining space in between. Below this will be a basement swimming pool with changing facilities and a steam shower.

Quality natural materials are being used externally to help tie the reconstructed flint tower with the circular tanks using contemporary zinc clad linking elements. The roof will sail above these using clerestory glazing to help flood the building with natural light from all sides.
