CaSA were asked to carry out a feasibility study and develop sketch scheme options for the redevelopment of an existing 190 bed students halls of residence in west London. The client, Lee Abbey London, is a Christian organisation providing accommodation for students studying in London who want to live within a Christian based community.
The existing building was converted from six houses on a Victorian terrace, which were in need of modernisation and re-organisation. The clients’ principle aims were to extend and transform the building to support their central mission of communicating Christ through relationships, whilst at the same time providing the practical upgraded accommodation they required.
